A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Hello!
I'm Alexia and my first game is in development! I made this demo in 3 weeks as a school project.
You are about to follow a postgraduate student through his internship at a biology lab. You will (hopefully) learn about the world of research along the way.
The complete game should address:
- The research context: the lab as a working place, its rules and the roles of the different people involved
- The scientific method: using experiments to validate or invalidate your hypothesis, continuing the work of previous studies, the international dimension, etc.
- The peer-reviewing and publishing process, as well as funding research
- Scientific integrity: ethics, reproducibility, open science…
- A lot of research inside jokes, honestly

Install instructions
Once you have downloaded the zip file, extract it entirely. The executable will then appear in the folder where you extracted it.
If you're using linux, extract the tar.bz2 file and go to the repository where you extracted it (it should be called "ThePresentPaper-1.0-linux") on the terminal. Then, to open the game, type the following command: ./ThePresentPaper.sh
